Comparison of Sports Team or League websites

  • iteams.mobi/ – online hosting - FREE Trial - Looks decent but not any cool features. Kind of confusing
  • joomleague - joomla-component - FREE Trial – Bugs, may not work exactly as planned
  • teamlobby.com - online hosting – FREE Trial – $4 per month Looks like a pretty good site, looks good and with many features. Maybe a little too siplified but I like it. It looks like it may even have everything you need, except there is only one admin level meaning if you haveseparate people to maintain the individual teams stats they will have access to everything.
  • nexo.com - online hosting – FREE Trial - Nexo logo is always there not as many features but better with the ones it has.
  • etaeamz.active.com - online hosting – $100 per year - http://www.active.com/images/eteamz/previewTemplates/previewTemplates.html. Cooler templates and quite a few features. Slow registration.
  • fcpsports.com - online hosting – $15 per month - Also pretty good look, and features, but not setup for a league
  • http://sourceforge.net/projects/leaguesite/ - open source download – FREE Very Simplistic, it would take a little bit of modifying
  • phpmysport - open source download – FREE - Looks pretty good. French Demo site – Has everything you might need. Probably the best option for a do it yourselfer.
  • http://www.hometeamsonline.com - online hosting – $100-$200 per year Own Domain name, custom pages are possible. Many other good features.
  • leaguepro.com - online hosting – $250 up front - You have to contact them for a demo. Has everything you need it seems: http://www.leaguepro.com/~mypingpo/
  • mySportSite.com - online hosting – $200 per year Pretty good system and they will customize it for you as welL http://www.mysportsite.com/myvolleyballteamwebsitethatiowncom/
  • http://www.teamsporttech.com/ - online hosting – $250 + 65 month Really nice, I really like it. It looks like it is the best service out there. Probably the top choice for a paid service.

I found a nice little application online called access to mysql acc2mssd.exe or something like that. I was a free to try application, but it’s only limitation was on the number of records it saved (5 rows). However, since I was only really worried about the structure, it worked perfectly since I am using a shared server and my mySql databases are adminstrated through the cpanel only, I had to create the table first in cpanel and then make sure the USE statement in the .sql file matched that database name exactly (though if you use the import tool in the database you want it in, you can just de-select the options to add/drop the database in the migration program. Now I just need to figure out the error I am getting with the database connection in the chilisoft asp language. But I leasted I converted the access to mysql successfully.
